“My son Longwe shouldn’t be granted bail,” said Chicco Twala
Sello Twala, aka “Chicco,” claims he wants Longwe Twala, his son, to have his bail request turned down.
After stealing equipment from his father’s studio, Longwe, a former child star, was placed under jail by his father.
Longwe’s father claims he doesn’t want his son released from jail because he will vanish once more. Longwe is due back in court this Thursday.
During his son’s court appearance last week, Twala informed reporters that Longwe, who began using drugs at the age of 17, had been stealing from him for the previous 20 years.
“I certainly don’t want my son to get bail. He will disappear and not be found for his next court appearance. The fact that the defence in the Senzo Meyiwa case would be calling him to testify makes it even more worrying because I know for a fact that he will disappear and miss both his court appearances the day he is supposed to testify.” Chicco told ZiMoja.
