Kwesta mourns American Rapper Rich Homie Quan’s Death
Following the death of US rapper Rich Homie Quan, South African musician Kwesta has expressed his profound sadness. The news of Quan’s passing shook the hip hop world, and Kwesta who had previously worked with the Atlanta rapper shared his sincere sympathies.
Kwesta shared a very personal moment on Instagram when he shared the song “Run It Up,” which he had worked on with the late US rapper Rich Homie Quan. A succinct but poignant remark, “I’m sorry bro,” went with the photo, revealing the depth of his grief at the rapper’s untimely death.
The Fulton County medical examiner stated that the well-known rapper had passed away in the Atlanta hospital. Since a post-mortem report has not yet been made public, the cause of death was not immediately known.
Trap music in Atlanta gained momentum thanks in large part to Rich Homie Quan, whose real name was Dequantes Devontay Lamar. Many later artists in the genre were influenced by him because of his distinctive sound and melodic flow, which set him apart as an artist.
With the huge smash “Type of Way,” which soon turned into an anthem and solidified his place in the rap industry, he made his debut on the scene in 2013. Riding high on his triumph, he continued the momentum by dropping “Lifestyle,” an outstanding song produced by London on da Track, and joining Jeezy on a YG tune. Under the auspices of his Rich Gang group, which included notable figures like Young Thug and Birdman, this song was made available.
